About me

P. Roxanne Kellar, Ph.D.

I’m Roxi Kellar, a STEM educator, botanist, former mechanical engineer, and emerging instructional designer/eLearning developer. My work focuses on making complex technical content clearer, more usable, and better aligned with what learners or readers actually need to do.

After years of designing and teaching biology courses in higher education, I’m transitioning into instructional design, learning experience design, and eLearning development. I bring experience with curriculum design, assessment alignment, learner feedback, course documentation, and technical communication.

My work focuses on:

  • Translating complex STEM and technical content into clear learning experiences

  • Designing objectives, practice, assessments, and rubrics that align

  • Making complex or dry topics more engaging by connecting content to realistic decisions, useful practice, and meaningful learner goals.

  • Building and reviewing asynchronous learning materials

  • Improving course clarity, usability, and accessibility

  • Supporting scientific and technical communication through editing

I work with Canvas LMS, Articulate Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, course maps, alignment matrices, QA checklists, rubrics, learner feedback, and accessibility/UDL-informed review.

On this site, you’ll find my instructional design/eLearning portfolio as well as services in course QA and STEM editing.
